FanTogether isn't something you download from the App Store or Google Play. You save it to your home screen from your phone's browser, and it behaves like any other app from then on — its own icon, full screen, no browser bars.

Do this first. On an iPhone, notifications only work from the home screen copy. If you stay in a Safari tab, the option to turn them on never appears. Everything in the notifications setup guide depends on this step.

On an iPhone or iPad

You have to use Safari for this. It won't work from Chrome on an iPhone.

  1. Open fantogether.music/app in Safari and log in.
  2. Tap the Share button — the square with an arrow pointing up, at the bottom of the screen.
  3. Scroll down the list and tap Add to Home Screen.
  4. Tap Add in the top right.

The FanTogether icon is now on your home screen. Open it from there from now on.

On an Android phone

  1. Open fantogether.music/app in Chrome and log in.
  2. Tap the three dots in the top right.
  3. Tap Add to Home screen (on some phones it says Install app).
  4. Tap Add.

Next: turn on notifications

Open FanTogether from the new icon — not from a browser tab — and go to Settings → Notifications. That's where you'll be asked to allow notifications. See Turn on notifications for the full walkthrough.

If you already have a FanTogether icon

If yours shows a plain letter instead of the FanTogether logo, it was added before we fixed the artwork. Press and hold it, delete it, then add it again using the steps above. You won't lose anything, and if you'd already allowed notifications they'll keep working.

Common questions

I don't see "Add to Home Screen."
You're probably in Chrome rather than Safari, or in a Private browsing tab. Open the site in a normal Safari tab and try again.

Do I still use the website?
You can, but the home screen icon is the better way in — and on an iPhone it's the only way to get notifications.

Where did the icon go?
Swipe down on your home screen and type "FanTogether" to search for it.

Do I need to log in again?
If you're asked to, use the same email and password you already use for FanTogether.
